SHADES OF BLUE
Ashley Sofia was raised in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, just a quarter mile from her grandparents’ apple orchard. The rugged beauty and solitude of her surroundings shaped her voice early, and by seventeen, she was writing songs strongly rooted in place and experience.
Her debut album, Love and Fury (2014), earned critical acclaim, with reviewers calling her the “21st-century reincarnation of the Laurel Canyon folk-rock sound.” Building on that success, she left the Blue Line of the Adirondack Park for Nashville, where she recorded her sophomore release, Shades of Blue (2019), garnering millions of streams on Spotify.
Remnants (2026), her third studio record, was produced by Ken Coomer (Wilco). As with her previous albums, Sofia holds sole songwriting credit on every track, cementing her reputation as a singular voice in modern folk.
